listening to Med. Soul. When I’m listening
to the radio in my car and a soothing melody,
like hip hop or rap comes on, not to mention
punk, I pop the Med Soul CD in and, often
without realizing it, I am smiling a few
minutes later. Wherever the music begins it’s
always something I enjoy.
When I’m listening, alone in my apartment, I
usually start dancing. I have to be alone
because I’m a terrible dancer but even a
terrible dancer can get carried away.

We
heard Mediterranean Soul play at the Oakland
Festival of Greece and knew
we had to hire them to play our wedding. They
were absolutely amazing! They
are all true professionals, not one weak link
in the entire band. The
bouzouki playing, singing, and clarinet were
truly top notch. We had a mixed
wedding - with only a handful of Greeks
actually - but most guests were
dancing all night - feeding off the amazing
energy Mediterranean Soul was
putting out. My wife's Dutch mother was asking
when there would be another
occasion where we could celebrate Greek-style
with Mediterranean Soul

was struck by the dynamics of this band. To play everything from a soft Latin jazz to some of the most moving Greek music I've ever heard. Be prepared to dance and enjoy. These guys are obviously having a good time and are both inspirational and fun.
